Siesta Collection in Oil
Siesta Collection in Oil was Josef Zetocha’s first North American solo exhibition, held on April 7, 2017, at Excelsior Beach to Bay Condominiums in Siesta Key, Florida.
The exhibition featured more than 20 original oil paintings inspired by the tropical atmosphere, colour, and natural beauty of Florida’s Gulf Coast. Influenced by Josef’s time spent in Siesta Key, the works reflected his personal interpretation of the architecture, foliage, and landscape found throughout the coastal environment.
Through this collection, Josef invited viewers to experience familiar tropical forms through an expressive and artistic interpretation.
Most significantly, Siesta Collection in Oil marked Josef’s return to painting after more than 30 years away from art, becoming an important milestone in both his creative journey and the public presentation of his work.
